Samsung Galaxy S5 And Galaxy Note 3 To Come With 3GB Of Ram

Friday, August 2, 2013

Samsung has announced a few days ago that they started mass-production of 3GB DDR3 memory for smartphones and this leads us to believe that next-gen smartphones, like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 3 might feature it.
RAM is more important than processor for smartphones, because it allows more apps to run in the background, so it provides a better multi-tasking experience. This year’s high-end smartphones came with 2GB of RAM and we expect most makers to increase it by next year.
Samsung’s new 3GB LPDDR3 uses six 20 nm chips, which is the industry’s smallest. They are split in two set of two chips each and are just 0.8 mm high.
While we can’t be very sure if Samsung manages to pack the new 3GB memory in the Galaxy Note 3, considering that it’s just been announced and the Galaxy Note 3′s release date should be next month. But we are really confident that the Galaxy S5 will feature 3GB of RAM, along with an improved CPU and GPU. LG G2 is also rumored to come with 3GB of RAM and just like I said, next year we will probably see this memory featured in all high-end smartphones.
The new memory is very slim and power-efficient, allowing makers to make even thinner devices. It’s also LTE-A compatible, so there shouldn’t be any problem with it.
The company has also announced that by year-end there should be smartphones powered by this memory chip. This could lead us to believe that they might delay Galaxy Note 3′s release date and ship it with the new memory. Though nothing is certain at the moment and we are still trying to find out more information.
Samsung Galaxy S5′s release date should be around May 2014 and smartphone hardware is going to improve a lot by then, so they will definitely use the new 3GB RAM, along with a new Octa processor and better GPU. We should also see an improved display and a better case. We’ve already broke the news about the aluminium body.
We expect high-end smartphones from Sony, LG, Motorola, HTC and all the other major carriers to come with 3GB of RAM by next year. We might also see true octa-core chips too, which are different from Samsung’s Exynos Octa CPU. The true octa-core processors use all the cores simultaneously, while Samsung uses only 4, while the other 4 are idle to improve battery life.
Fingerprint scanners might be an usual feature by next year too, as many phone makers are rumored to use it, including Samsung and Apple. And we might also see flexible displays, which is something really different and revolutionary. That could really change the game again and Samsung might gain even more traction, considering they are the ones who designed and showed them.

What release date of Galaxy S5 you want in U.S?

After the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, some analysts have argued that this would be the last device in Galaxy S series. We all know that the Galaxy S series has been designed from the outset as a response to the iPhone. It seems, however, that the next flagship smartphone in Galaxy S series will be completely renovated and will not be made as a response to the iPhone.

The next Galaxy S5 is expected to undergo a major overhaul, so much so that an alleged source inside the company would have reported that Samsung is already working on the next Galaxy S5 with a body made entirely of aluminum. The smartphone, of course, today is still in the planning stage, so many things could change until its launch which presumably will be next spring.
Specs of New Samsung S5 listed online are just rumors which cannot be believed until its release. Koreans will design the new device in their own and new manner. They organized a meeting in their company on the topic Design 3.0 which was to decide the strategy of design for the upcoming devices. Last device in this series was criticized by users for its cheap plastic body so this time they will go either with aluminum body or carbon fiber body.
It is in rumors that this device will be launched in all the parts of the world in April, 2014. Device will be featuring 16 core processor, 16 MP camera and 5 MP front camera. It will be powered with better battery than used in Galaxy S4. What are your expectations to see this device in U.S? What can be the best release date of Galaxy S5 in U.S, stay tuned with us for more latest news.

Samsung Galaxy S5: Possible Specs and Design

Wednesday, July 31, 2013

The Samsung Galaxy S4 already debuted this year and fans are still awaiting the arrival of the Galaxy Note 3. Even with all the new phones in the market, many Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) fans are still anticipating the Galaxy S5.

Galaxy S5 Should Be Stylish

Right now, we don’t know a whole lot about the next generation Galaxy S smartphone but we do know that it will be the best selling Android phone on the market. We didn’t see very many changes with the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, except for the fact it was a bit thinner and had some design changes to give it a more “upscale” appearance. Many of the South Korean tech giant’s rivals utilize premium materials such as glass or aluminum in their construction. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) should take a cue and enhance their design with more impressive materials. According to Android Geeks, “HTC’s One flagship is the perfect example that a good-looking smartphone is the key to success, receiving positive reviews when it came to its design. Sammy will definitely want similar reactions for its Galaxy S5, so expect some major design and construction changes for its next-gen flagship.”
If the Galaxy S5 won’t look like it’s predecessor, then what will it look like? There’s no way to know yet but there are heavy predictions it will be made from either aluminum or metal. Android Geeks added, “Even though the Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) officials said that the plastic smartphones are easier to produce in large numbers, I am confident that the South Koreans will change the materials used for the Samsung Galaxy S5 as its position as leader of the Android smartphone market is threatened by the premium high-end smartphone developed by other companies. In the same time, an aluminum Samsung Galaxy S5 will be capable of stealing some of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s customers, as the design remained the only trump of the iPhone.”
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930)’s biggest competitor, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), is expected to release the iPhone 5S some time this fall.

Samsung Galaxy S5: What we want to see

Sunday, July 28, 2013

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has finally landed - and we loved it, as you'll see through our in-depth review. It's light, slim and powerful, and has the best screen we've seen on a smartphone.
But we know what you're like. You're already thinking about the Galaxy S5. You're looking at the S4 and wondering: "You know what, could Samsung have done better in some areas? Like make it FLY?"
Well, clearly you're insane if you're asking for that, but your point is valid: there's always more than can be done to make the ultimate smartphone.
Word is that Samsung is already hard at work on the design of the new range of devices: simply codenamed 'Design 3.0' top level meetings have already begun in Seoul to make sure the new Galaxy range is more revolutionary.
To that end, we've put our thinking caps on and done the work for the South Korean firm - here are the things that we simply must have on the Galaxy S5 to make it a success and beat the new HTC One:

A flexible design

Anyone using an HTC One will know that the reaction it inspires really is immense.
It's no exaggeration to say that more often than not, people will say: 'Wow, what's that?'. The sad fact is that we just don't get the same reaction from the S4, with most people just actually thinking it's the Galaxy S3.
One of its predecessor's main criticisms was that the use of plastic made it look and feel cheap (that even applies to the Galaxy S2 from a few years back – though not the Galaxy S, since few people took any real notice of the first iteration.)
When the S4 was announced, it didn't even need to be felt – people instantly criticised how cheap that all-plastic façade is going to feel.

Sure, it keeps the phone light (in fairness, the HTC One weighs a fair bit in the hand, by comparison) but Apple's managed to pull off glass and metaland lightness with the iPhone 5 so surely Samsung can manage the same. If only to annoy Apple even more.
The other ideal would be to utilise its flexible display technology - Youm - to bring some new techology to the new design. We're not talking a completely bendy phone (that would actually be rubbish right now) but how about the designs shown off at trade shows recently? That would be amazing.

A sleeker system

One of the things we've always liked about Samsung is that it pushed the envelope in terms of what its phones could do. It added innovation, it did things nobody else did, and then it worked out how to package it in a way that made things simple and looked half decent.
In this respect, its nadir was the Samsung Galaxy S3. Yes, it felt too cheap, but it had tonnes of innovation under the hood (Smart Stay, for instance, wasn't a total waste of time).
The problem was it went overboard with the Galaxy S4. Smart Scroll, Smart Pause and more all added complexity to a system that was already close to the limit, so all those selling points became annoyances and were quickly turned off.
Samsung, you're great at one thing: making innovation usable. With the Samsung Galaxy S5 think about that and make sure that if you add in flexible screens or eye tracking technology to create auto-3D images, you do it in a way that genuinely adds something to our lives, not just innovation for the sake of it.
If you need to make some space, get rid of that front and back cameras dual-recording feature. Nobody is ever going to use that.

Bigger battery

We always ask for these and the S4 has graced us with a larger power pack than the S3 – it's up from 2,100 to 2,600mAh. It's a fairly decent jump – but still likely to just give a day of moderate use thanks to that huge, sharp screen.
Just look at the HTC One – that has a 2,300mAh power pack yet struggles to exceed the 1,440mAh battery of the iPhone 5 in daily usage. The fact of the matter is that the OS has a huge part to play – so upping the mAh count doesn't necessarily mean a revolution in terms of endurance.
The Motorola RAZR Maxx has been out since last summer and manages to pack in a 3,300mAh battery, which genuinely puts the hours in.
Since Samsung is such a technologically advanced company, if it were to come up with something huge like a 4,000mAh pack that's slim to boot, it would nail the Android market (even more.) Come on boys – you have a year to do this.

Stereo speakers

Again we're drawing a comparison with the HTC One here but that's to be expected; especially since said device will be its main Android competitor (along with the Sony Xperia Z, of course, which we mustn't forget.) But there is something unique here.
See, HTC has raised the bar here – the sound bar, that is. Some assumed it would be a gimmick, putting two speakers on the front of the phone and calling it BoomSound. But here's the thing: it does sound amazing. To the extent that we often leave calls ringing longer than we need to so that we can enjoy the ringtone.
The Galaxy S4 doesn't go for anything so lavish – offering a mere grill on the back with a small speaker we fully expect to be loud, yet tinny. Sure, there may be limited call for deep surround sound or anything as elaborate, but why scrimp on features when including so much in other areas?
We imagine Group Play will be Samsung's answer – but considering that requires other Galaxy owners, it's a bit of a faff.
Samsung could really pull something unique out the bag here – especially considering it's got a proven relationship with audio extradordinaires Bang and Olufsen. Even the iPhone 5 speaker is fairly decent – so come on Sammy.. finger out, please.

FM Radio

Odd one this, but the S4 is the first Galaxy device to not ship with an FM radio. It's a bit of an add-on that many don't use, but others (especially commuters) are very attached to their FM radio feature on their phones.
Samsung's already stated that it left the S4 FM radio out not through any technical issue, but because more people are now streaming their music through YouTube and online services. Which is true. Apps like TuneIn Radio do offer a great service.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Concept: Realistic Features, Metal Design

Thursday, July 25, 2013

The Samsung Galaxy S5 launch likely won’t take place next year but we’re already seeing Galaxy S5 concepts emerge showing off what Samsung enthusiasts want to see from the next Galaxy S smartphone with the latest sporting features that while conceptual, could very well make their way onto the real Samsung Galaxy S5.
Samsung’s new Galaxy S series smartphone, the Galaxy S4, has only been on shelves for a few months. What this means is that a new Galaxy S5 likely won’t materialize until the early part of 2014. However, the long wait hasn’t stopped Samsung fans from dreaming up their own visions for Samsung’s Next Big Thing.
Already, we’ve seen a handful of Galaxy S5 concepts emerge and today, we have another one to share courtesy of 91Mobiles which has produced a Galaxy S5 that utilizes a number of features that we could see arrive on the real Galaxy S5.
This Galaxy S5 concept sports a metal design as opposed to the plastic design found on the Galaxy S4 and many of Samsung’s other Galaxy-branded smartphones. Rumors have indicated that Samsung is at least toying with the idea of shifting away from plastic so it’s possible that we could see the company switch to a more premium build with its next Galaxy.
The display is 5.2-inches in size, keeping in line with Samsung’s .2-inch size upgrades. Last year we saw a 4.8-inch Galaxy S3, this year we saw the Galaxy S4 display bumped to 5-inches and we’ve seen Samsung bump the Galaxy Note series by .2-inches each year. The display also comes with full HD 1080p resolution.
This Galaxy S5 is both dust and waterproof, something that is featured with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, a variant of the Galaxy S4. It runs a powerful Exynos 5 Octa processor from Samsung and uses 4GB of RAM to help power the device. It also features a 16MP camera with Xenon flash, a 5MP front-facing camera for improved video chats, a large 3,200 mAh battery, and Google’s Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie which should debut later on this year. It also comes with Samsung’s TouchWiz, the UI that the company puts on top of Google’s Android software.
While this Samsung Galaxy S5 may just be a concept, there are certainly some features that we could see on board Samsung’s real Galaxy S5 when it arrives sometime next year.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Concept: Are Features For The First Rumor-Based Mockup Realistic?

Friday, July 19, 2013

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 on the market for less than two months, it has been surprising that rumors are already suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a new metal exterior, which is said to be a part of Design 3.0, a revamp that Samsung is currently developing for its next-gen handset. We don’t expect to see any concrete news about the Samsung Galaxy S5 until much closer to 2014 when the device is expected to be released, but that hasn’t stopped design-savvy Android enthusiasts from dreaming up their ideal Galaxy S5 specs.

Camera
Designer Bob Freking shares his vision for the Galaxy S5 in a video that suggests a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and 6x loseless zoom, as well as improved low-light performance as one of the smartphone’s main features. Samsung upped the ante for camera specs by giving the Galaxy S4 a 13-megapixel camera, while rumors propose a 13-megapixel or 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization for the yet-to-be-unveiled Galaxy Note 3. It would make sense for the Galaxy S5 to have a camera along these lines. But Freking takes his fantasy specs a step further, suggesting support for add-on lenses. This could also be a plausible idea, considering that Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S4 Zoom, a literal camera-phone with a 16-megapixel sensor and 10x optical zoom on the back of a Galaxy S4 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S5 To Feature Carbon Fiber Body, 5G and Super AMOLED Plus

Wednesday, July 17, 2013

There have been a lot of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S5 and now we hear about some other cool features it might come with. According to recent rumors, the Galaxy S5 could feature a carbon fiber body, 5G speeds and a Super AMOLED Plus display, which sounds like a great improvement.
Previously we’ve told you that it might come with an Aluminium body, as we’ve heard, though others suggest it’s going to be made out of carbon fiber. Samsung and SGL have stated that the companies began a partnership in order to use carbon fiber in some Samsung products, including consumer electronics, engineering applications and consumer electronics.
President and CEO of Samsung Petrochemical, Yoosung Chung, stated that lightweight materials have become very important for consumer electronics, which means they take this very seriously and we could finally see a carbon fiber smartphone from Samsung to replace plastic.
Carbon Fiber should make the smartphone lighter, more resistant to shocks and scratches, while allowing the maker to mold the body in any shape they want.
Settings aside the body, we also know that Samsung is testing 5G, though the technology is due to be finished by 2020, but some say that the Galaxy S5 might feature it. Personally I don’t believe there is any reason for this, as no carrier will support it so early. It’s more likely to see a 4G LTE-A compatible Galaxy S5 though.
The Super AMOLED Plus display would be a great improvement, considering it’s much superior to the panels currently used in the Galaxy S3 and S4 and we really hope Samsung manages to get it ready for use with the Galaxy S5.
We should also see an improved CPU to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800, which will probably remain a dual-quad-core or Octa, as Samsung calls it.
Flexible displays will most likely stay out of this for the moment, as the technology is probably not matured yet and Samsung can’t risk using an unfinished product, though it would be awesome to have a curved display as they showcased at MWC in February.
This is all we can guess about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 and we’ll let you know once we find more information about it. Like usually, the Galaxy S5 release date should be around May 2013.

How to Enhance the Battery Life of your smartphone?

Saturday, July 13, 2013

For our regular readers (Subscribed and Unsubscribed), we have started this special series called “Tips Corner”, wherein we will publish regular tips & tricks articles on some of the most common issues surrounding the smartphones and their use. We have already written an article on Getting the best deal on your next smartphone. Let’s check out the next one.
Have you gotten to the stage, like so many others, that more often you check your battery on your smartphone and you are on low battery already? Don’t worry, it happens to most of us, and you don’t need to go out and buy a new battery! I’m going to give you 5 tips on the best ways to enhance the battery life of your smartphone! In case you are going to buy Samsung Galaxy S5 soon, these tips will boost your experience with the phone. So take heed if you are in this not so exclusive clique and read on!

1. Always charge to one hundred per cent!

I positioned this to number one because not doing so can actually harm your battery physically. By not charging up 100 % you could reduce the battery life of your smartphone significantly. So you should make a habit of charging your phone overnight! Don’t worry. Your battery is most likely lithium-ion meaning it usually does a job of knowing when it is charged so won’t waste electricity. By doing this, you won’t realize your battery is critical 20 minutes before you have to go somewhere and have to charge for only 20 mins. In an emergency you can do this, just remember it is better to charge overnight! Though Samsung Galaxy S5 too has a big battery, these tips will further enhance its efficiency.

2. Adjust Screen Brightness.

Usually, people don’t fiddle with these settings on a phone, and just leave the smartphone to “automatically” adjust the brightness levels. This actually wastes a lot of power. To combat this, all you need to do is manually set the brightness to 40 – 50 percent. This will be fine in all cases and help make your Galaxy S5 (and others) smartphone battery last a lot longer!

3. Extra gadgets waste power!

All modern smartphones like new Samsung S5 recently have bluetooth, wifi, gps, 3g connectivity and much more. These will drain your smartphone’s battery quite quickly, and most of the time you aren’t even using them. If you rarely use any of the mentioned functions, you can turn them off and only enable them when you need to. Most of the time you can even have the option of turning it on for 10 minutes so you don’t have to worry about turning it off again afterwards either! This is known by minority, but should be used by the majority of smartphone users!

4. Don’t be an App addict

I know a lot of people like installing hundreds of apps that they only use once on their smartphone! Well have you ever pressed ctrl alt delete on your pc and checked how many processes are running? Well its exactly like that on your smartphone. These apps will run in background processes on your Galaxy S5 phone constantly, draining your battery level at a scary rate! Remember, its like having 100 programmes open on your computer. You would not do it there so why do it to your smartphone? Not only does it reduce the battery life of the phone, but can slow it down. Check through your Apps, and if you haven’t used one in over 2 weeks, uninstall it, you will see a great improvement.

5.Turn off Vibrate!

Vibrate can be very useful, especially in cinemas or libraries. However, when not in quiet places, you should not use vibrate. Vibrating takes a lot more power of your Apple, HTC or new Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphones than making a noise! Sometimes you have to use vibrate, but if you are the kind of person who likes to have the phone vibrate every time you tap it, then you are going to have a bad time! That is going to put strain on your battery and drain power like mad.

5. Screen Activity Time!

The amount of times before your screen turns off after use on a smartphone can have a big factor on how long a battery will last. Most people have it set to 5 seconds. However, and longer  than that will have a bad effect for your phone. If something touches your phone in your pocket and the smartphone picks it up, the screen will turn on, and go off after the amount of time you set it up to.

If you set the timer to 30 seconds, that will waste too much battery. If your phone accidentally turns on in your pocket 10 times in an hour, you are wasting an extra 5 minutes every hour that your phone is not in use! If you were ever in an emergency you might need that extra power, and it won’t make any difference to how you use your phone, as the screen only goes to sleep if you are not using it. It remains on automatically for viewing videos and reading things online!

That concludes this article. I am sure if you use only a couple of these methods on your next generation Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, you will be able to achieve much better battery life! If you found this useful, help someone else by sharing this on facebook!
